The Concert Hall at the Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin was built according to plans of the famous architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel in neo-classical style between 1818 and 1821. Now, more than 500 concerts per year are carried out not only by the "Konzerthausorchester Berlin" but also by other orchestras.
